Our story

About Bertolucci’s Body & Fender Shop

Family-owned since 1948. Women-owned today.

Richard “Dick” Bertolucci, the founder of Bertolucci’s Body & Fender Shop, began restoring and modifying cars with his father. He started in his home, and in 1948 he opened his own custom body shop.

More than 70 years and thousands of satisfied customers later, Bertolucci’s is Sacramento’s best known, premier collision repair facility. It is also one of the largest in Northern California, with a capacity to repair over 100 vehicles concurrently. Bertolucci’s is still family-owned, and today it is also a women-owned business.

Our mission

To provide superior quality automotive repair service to each and every one of our customers.

Bertolucci’s also dedicates itself to maintaining a positive team spirit amongst our staff. Your satisfaction is guaranteed and backed by the Bertolucci’s Limited Lifetime Warranty.

Our motto“Where quality is the patience to check and then double check!”

Our team

Bertolucci’s is a family business, and our team is a big part of the family. Many of our technicians, painters, estimators and office staff have been with us for years, and they share the same pride in their work that Dick brought to the shop in 1948.

Cars, community and the Autorama

Dick especially loved Chevrolets, and his passion lives on in our collection, our community events and the award that carries his name.
